Welcome to the Adirondacks, home of affordable art from painter Marilee Litwa.
Marilee's love of pines and mountain vistas has taken her on a long journey - from amateur sketcher as a young girl to a professional painter in her empty-nest years. Self-taught, Marilee has been painting since 1997. In that time, she has produced over 300 canvases, held several one-woman shows, exhibited all over the area, won several ribbons and People's Choice awards, helped her husband build her studio, done some judging and expanded her business to include prints and notecards. She calls her style "primitive realism," and attempts to accurately portray glimpses of upstate New York - whether it be barn, camp, lake or still life.
There are many stories to tell in the Adirondacks - some new and some hundreds of years old. Marilee is interested in them all. She sees a potential painting in almost every vista.
